Inter’s Spanish midfielder Borja Valero stopped by Inter TV after the win against AC Milan in the derby della Madonnina at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.

The former Fiorentina midfielder was very happy stating that: “It is an immense joy to win like this. We played a great game, they were never dangerous, it is a shame we had to wait until the 90th minute.”

Valero was brought on for Radja Nainggolan halfway through the first half due to an injury to which he said: “It wasn’t easy to come on when you’re cold, I was able to warm up a little bit but my teammates helped me and things went really great. I tried to put myself behind their central defender, we were trying to triangulate. It was great, I repeat the only bad thing was that we didn’t score sooner than we did.”

In conclusion Valero was asked to give a comment on AC Milan stating that: “They were less dangerous than they have been in previous years, we did well to close them down and to find spaces to hurt them. Scoring in the 90th minute in a derby gives you so much, it is like an injection of courage. We are even more charged up than before the match.”
