Inter’s Uruguayan international midfielder Matias Vecino stopped by Inter TV to share his thoughts on the win in the Serie A against AC Milan in front of a packed Stadio Giusepp Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.

The former Fiorentina man began by talking about his great cross in the dying second of the match which Icardi headed home stating that: “It is happening often now that towards the end of the match I am able to do important things, in this way the team is able to get the result always in the end. I don’t think this is something that occurs by chance, it depends on a physical factor too, we run until the end.”

In conclusion Vecino was asked if he felt he touched the ball when assisting Icardi in the first half for the goal that was correctly disallowed for offside to which he replied: “I felt something, I think I did touch it yes. Then we managed to score, otherwise I wouldn’t have said anything [laughs]. The derby is a league on its own which gives you major confidence boost, also given the match we have on Wednesday. Our fans really felt a lot and we wanted to gift them this joy.”
