Inter’s Brazilian international central defender Joao Miranda stopped by Inter TV to share his thoughts of the Champions League group stage clash against FC Barcelona at the Camp Nou with kick-off scheduled for 21.00.

The former Ateltico Madrid man began by stating that: “Camp Nou is an important stadium with a special atmosphere, but we will have to stay focused, play our game and try to adjust to their pitch, because how they play, is one aspect that makes the difference, but Inter will be compact. It will be necessary to attack and defend all together as a team. Every game should be played as if it were a final, always looking for victory. We came here to play a great match.”

Luciano Spalletti confirmed in his press conference that Miranda will start in defence alongside, most probably, Milan Skriniar, reuniting the partnership that helped Inter achieve Champions League qualification in the first place last season.

With Miranda’s contract set to expire in June 2019 it remains to be seen whether this will be his last season with Inter or whether he will leave for a new team in the summer.
