At the end of the Juventus Annual Shareholders’ Meeting, club President Andrea Agnelli was present at a press conference to answer questions from the gathered reporters.
Among the many topics that were discussed one in particular was that relating to the report of the investigation into the relationship between the ‘Underground’ Ultras and the Old Lady: “In these two years we have witnessed a very unpleasant report about some irregularities in the sale of tickets, but also the acquittal about the mafia infiltration. Today we try again to make a stand by moving past the old and outdated wiretapping accusations.”
There are some confessed offenders and it is a painful affair for those who, like us, collaborate with the governing forces who make the stadiums secure zones, the pain is exacerbated by the disappearance of Bucci. We respect silently the work of the investigations and the verdicts must be respected. Agnelli then refers to the events of Calciopoli, “Juventus respects official verdicts so much so that we played in Serie B during the 2006/2007 season.”
“In our team we display the photos that we like best and I still want to publicly thank Aldo Mazzia and Beppe Marotta, they were two very important figures and Nedved will now have similar powers” Agnelli concluded.
