River Plate president Ricardo D’Onofrio has confirmed that no offers have yet to arrive for starlet Exequiel Palacios, who has drawn links to some top European clubs including Inter in recent weeks.
“We know that there were scouts from various clubs that were watching players during our game with Gremio and we understand that Palacios is one of these players. Nobody has contacted us about him and we hope they will not come with any offers,” he explained in an interview with Argentine broadcaster Fox Sports.
The 20-year-old central midfielder has earned rave reviews for his performances recently and is under contract with the Argentine giants through until the end of the 2020/21 season.
Inter aside, Spanish pair Barcelona and Atletico Madrid as well as city rivals Milan have all been quoted as having an interest in signing him by various news outlets.
This season he has made eight appearances, scoring once while tallying two assists also.
