Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde praised Inter’s performance last night against them but admitted that despite this his side were still the better of the two teams.

“We think the result is a fair one. We know that Inter is a great team and they had their chances at the beginning of the second half but overall we were superior to them. The game saw two strong teams who both wanted poessesion of the ball and pressed one another,” he said in an interview with broadcaster Sky Sport post-match.
