At the end of the Europa League match between Marseille and Lazio, the head of Lazio’s medical staff, Dr Rodia, spoke to Lazio Style Channel to clarify midfielder Lucas Leiva’s injury status. Dr Rodia stated, “he suffered a strain to the adductor muscle in his right thigh. We will carry out the necessary tests and assess his condition, no sooner than the next 48hrs.”

The Brazilian midfielder will therefore most likely be ruled out of Lazio’s match against Inter on 29th October. However, Lazio are likely to have Milan Badelj and Luis Alberto return to action on Monday night. The former is looking to recover from a thigh-strain-injury, while the latter has been suffering from a problem in his groin, which has troubled him since the summer.

Badejl and Alberto however, are both improving steadily and seem to be on the verge of making a return to action. Meanwhile, Danish left-back Riza Dulmisi’s condition stands to be evaluated following a dislocated elbow, while Ecuadorian Felipe Caicedo is reportedly ready for action for the Biancocelesti.
