There is a high risk of Inter’s game away to Lazio tomorrow night being postponed according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
Heavy rainfall is expected in the Italian capital and the pre-sale for the match has suffered as a result. Only 40,000 tickets have been sold for the match at the 72,698 capacity Stadio Olimpico, well below the expectations that the home club had for the game against the Nerazzurri.
Weather warnings are in place across the capital city through to Tuesday currently and based on weather predictions the conditions could be set to worsen. Rome has been battered by hail and thunder storms in recent days and coupled with heavy winds, it is therefore understandable that there is concern for public safety for those who will potentially be in attendance.
As for now no announcement on the game has been made so the game remains scheduled to kick off at 20:30 CET tomorrow night.
