Mauro Icardi shared his delight as Inter got back to winning ways with a 3-0 away win over Lazio in which he scored twice in.

“I am living the same moment Inter is living. It is a beautiful period, in which things aside from the match against Barcelona, are going well,” he said in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport post-match at the Stadio Olimpico.

Icardi proceeded to downplay the idea that Inter are the anti-Juventus this campaign despite the win pushing them up to second place.

“We certainly are not the anti-Juventus. We are missing some things in order to get to their level, but we are happy with our growth. Now we need to move on. We are working to improve, we wanted to have more of the ball ball and today we managed to do it very well.

“We managed to find the spaces to score goals and this reflects the work that we have done during the week. It is also important that we have not conceded any goals especially given they had the opportunities to score.”
