Inter’s owners Suning want Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta on the board of directors come December according to a report from Tuttosport.

With Steven Zhang now named president, the next goal of the Chinese owners is to bring Marotta in in the role of CEO, the role he has fulfilled at Juventus for a number of years.

Marotta is due to meet with Juventus president Andrea Agnelli to formalise his departure from the Bianconeri and afterwards Inter can then make their move for him.

In recent weeks Marotta made a shock announcement that he would be leaving Juventus and from that announcement Inter have been in the driving seat when it comes to trying to bring him in. There has been alleged interest in his services from other Italian clubs such as Napoli while the likes of Premier League side Arsenal have also shown that they are keen on adding him to their board.
