Inter’s dream of landing Luka Modric could still be alive and possible in January according to Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

According to the report: “Despite the denials, Inter are continuing to work on making Suning’s big dream come true. Steven Zhang spoke about wanting to have the best of the best around him, which shows a desire in wanting to have big names at Inter. Piero Ausilio is keeping a close eye on what is happening in Madrid to see the possibility of bringing Modric to Inter.”

“The Croatian did not get along very well with Lopetegui who has since been sacked as coach of Real Madrid.) Inter still looks like a charming destination for the midfielder where he has three of his Croatian as first team starters: Vrsaljko, Brozovic, and Perisic. The Inter project also appeals to Modric as he has already won everything at Madrid and, at 33 years of age, wants to find new motivation in his footballing career” Tuttosport continues.

In conclusion Tuttosport reports that: “If Modric wants Inter, he will have to prove it concretely and abandon the attitude that he had, which did not help the outcome of the deal last Summer. If there is an opportunity to sign the Croatian, Suning will take it.”
