Andrea Masiello is continuing to recover from injury and is targeting to return for Atalanta’s game against Inter not this weekend but next according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The full back picked up an injury in Atalanta’s 1-0 loss to Sampdoria at the beginning of October and is currently training on a personalised schedule to help him with his recovery. As a result of his injury, he has missed his side’s past two games, a 5-1 win over Chievo Verona and 3-0 win over Parma.

He will not travel with his teammates to the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara for the match with Bologna this weekend to avoid possibly aggravating his injury and sideline himself for longer.

The 32-year-old full back has made 12 appearances across all competitions for the Bergamo based club this season. The former Italian youth international has scored once, tallied three assists and helped his team toward recording five clean sheets.
