After eight years of successful service, Beppe Marotta is no longer an executive at Juventus. The news became official yesterday evening with a press release from the Italian champions in which it was specified that the former Sampdoria director was entitled to a payout of €361,755 to settle his contract.

This amount relates to a security on the directors contract but, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Moratta will also receive a further several million euros from the club. These sums would relate to performance bonuses which were agreed upon in an incentive plan signed several years ago.

In any case, from this moment forward, the former CEO of the Old Lady is free to move to any club he chooses. At the moment his future appears to be Milan, with Inter the favourites to sign him.

Marotta, 61, joined the Bianconeri in May 2010 and managed the wholesale changes which saw the club move from 7th place in the season before his arrival, to winning seven straight Scudetti.
