Inter continue to monitor several players with expiring contracts and according to a report from Tuttosport, one of those players is Benfica’s Eduardo Salvio.

Today, Tuttosport reports that El Toto has a contract with the Portuguese club that will expire on 30 June 2019 and Inter’s interest in the player had already become apparent last season. The Nerazzurri have more chance than ever, but not only for the next season: the club could try to anticipate everybody else by snatching him up in the winter market.

However, the player only has an Argentinian passport, which would make it impossible to sign him in January as Inter have already filled their quota for non-EU players this season with the signings of Lautaro Martinez and Keita Balde.

Salvio has scored 33 goals in 139 league appearances for Benfica since his transfer from Atletico Madrid in 2012 and has made 11 appearances for his national team, Argentina. Salvio started his career at the Argentinian club, Lanus before making the move to Europe for Atletico Madrid in 2010.
