After eight years of service, Beppe Marotta is no longer a Juventus executive. The club released a statement on its official website at 18:00 CET yesterday which confirmed the departure which had been public knowledge since the shareholders meeting on October 25.

At this meeting, Juventus President Andrea Agnelli explained the reasons for the separatios and thanked Marotta for his work with the club: “We decided to refresh our leadership now, rather than waiting before it was absolutely necessary to do so. First we owe thanks to the two outgoing CEOs, Aldo Mazzia and Giuseppe Marotta. Marotta’s ability and knowledge has been fundamental for the growth of the club.”

For Marotta, his chapter with the Bianconeri is now closed and the door to Inter is opened. Italian media outlet FcInterNews report that the director is ready to sign a three-year contract with the Nerazzurri but that his role within his new club is yet to be clearly defined.
