Marcelo Brozovic has continued to showcase his ability in recent weeks as he continues to assert himself as one of the world’s best and it has made Gazzetta dello Sport ponder whether his current release clause is in fact too low.

The Croatian midfield maestro recently put pen-to-paper on a new contract until the end of the end of the 2021/22 season, a contract that includes a €60 million release clause. Granted, the clause is only valid to foreign clubs and only available to be activated during the first two weeks of each July but if he is to continue on his current path there is sure to be a wealth of interest in his services come the summer and Inter could ultimately end up losing out on a lot of money for the 25-year-old.

In the January transfer window Brozovic appeared destined to leave having been unable to be a consistent performer but with huge thanks to Inter manager Luciano Spalletti, he has transformed as a player since then and become an integral part of his system.
