Roberto Gagliardini was interviewed in the mixed zone after the game against Genoa, in which the midfielder scored two goals and helped the team to a 5-0 win.

“Genoa played well against Milan on Wednesday, they are a tough team that presses the whole field, but we deserved this important victory. Everyone is always ready because we want to make it difficult for the coach to make his choices on who will play. We have to thank the fans. 67,000 showed up at 3PM on a Saturday afternoon, it is definitely something we can boast about.”

Gagliardini then spoke on the idea of Inter being the anti-Juventus.

“We are the anti-Juventus? We do not think about that kind of thing, we’ll see how we’re doing around March or April, it is too early to think about that.”

He was then asked what Inter’s main strength is.

“Everyone has proven that they know what they are doing and can do their own thing well, and that is our strength. We have always been convinced in our abilities and believed in them.”

The Italian midfielder was then asked if he had any doubts about his second goal and if he had to ask the referee for confirmation.

“I had already seen that the ball did not cross the line, so I did not ask him anything.”

He concluded by previewing the next league game that sees Inter travel to nearby Bergamo to take on his former club Atalanta.

“It will be another decisive game that we must win.”
