Gazzetta dello Sport have taken a look at Joao Mario and Roberto Gagliardini’s recoveries which were witnessed in yesterday’s 5-0 win over Genoa.

Joao Mario got a hat-trick of assists and a goal while Gagliardini scored a brace and were very well received by the fans at San Siro.

“The switch to a 4-3-3 has really armed the Inter midfield, especially to Joao Mario and his performance. The supporters’ attitude towards him changed very quickly, even within the same game. The player that everyone whistled and booed against was applauded by the end of the game yesterday following his positive performance.”

While neither are in the Champions League squad, Inter manager Luciano Spalletti now has two further weapons in his arsenal that can hurt opponents.
