Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic stopped by Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia to share his thoughts on the 1-1 draw against Barcelona in the Champions League group stage at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.

The former Udinese man began by making a mea culpa, stating that: “I missed the save on the goal. I could have done more on the goal, one knows that Malcom is left footed and doesn’t shoot with his right. He shot between two players, maybe he was good in that he timed the shot really well.”

Handanovic continued by praising Barcelona: “The did much better than we did, we could have done more. We did not go out on the pitch in the way we had prepared. If they are allowed to always have the ball they begin to make you suffer, but I think that it is matches like these that make you grow and develop.”

In conclusion however the Nerazzurri number one was positive stating that: “After the 1-1 goal I thought that we could even win the match because this stadium gives you something more. I like this spirit, so I think we played better than we did in Barcelona. I am not disappointed, I only want to improve as we have done in Italy but is clear that Barcelona teach how football is played, not only us.”
