Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo has spoken on his move from Inter to the Giallorossi during the summer transfer window in an interview with L’Ultimo Uomo.

“I did not think twice about saying yes to Roma and the negotiations were ended in a week, my desire was strong, like that of the club, so I was and I still am very happy,” he said.

The Italian also spoke on his arrival at Inter from Virtus Entella and spoke on his Primavera coach while he was with the club in Stefano Vecchi.

“Juventus wanted to sign me too but I preferred Inter because I thought that the project was more for me. When I arrived at Inter I missed so many things but Vecchi managed to help me and I have to thank him so much. He was the first person to tell me that I should play as a mezzala. He said that if I was a trequartista I would be doing less defensively but would have to always be decisive when I had the ball but if I was a mezzala, I would have to contribute to both phases but could be a lot less decisive when I was on the ball.”
