Chelsea are interested in Mauro Icardi but may be priced out of a move for the Inter striker according to a report from British newspaper the Daily Star.

Blues manager Maurizio Sarri is a big fan of the Argentine but due to Inter’s £90 million (approximately €103 million) evaluation of him it therefore means that they may be forced to go after others instead of the 25-year-old Inter captain, the report states. Icardi has netted nine goals and tallied two assists in 12 appearances across all competitions this season.

The report goes on to state that the London club are also keen on Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson and are weighing up whether to make a £35 million (approximately €40 million) swoop for him in the upcoming January transfer window. Genoa’s Krzysztof Piatek is another striker that they are looking at too given his fine form this season that has seen him score nine goals in his ongoing debut season with the Grifone.
