Inter will try to continue the positive run they are on in the league but it will not be easy against an Atalanta side who are also in good form.

Today Inter captain Mauro Icardi will play match number 199 in Serie A (he has 116 goals: 106 with Inter and 10 with Sampdoria) and among the strikers currently playing in Serie A only one has scored more goals than him, Fabio Fabio Quagliarella.

Quagliarella has scored 131 goals Corriere dello Sport highlight, all the others have retired or, as in the case of Zlatan Ibrahimovic (122), are abroad. On the other hand, Maurito is challenging Gonzalo Higuain in what promises to be a sort of Argentine derby at a distance for the Capocannoniere.

There is also the ‘curse’ of the Atalanta stadium, where Icardi has never scored. It is one of the few grounds of the current Serie A teams that he has never scored at, the others are in Torino (0 goals in 5 attempts), the Tardini of Parma (0 out of 2) and, ironically, the ‘away’ game at San Siro (0 out of 5). At the Azzurri d’Italia he has failed to score all five times he has played, both with Sampdoria and Inter.
