Former Inter player Benoit Cauet spoke with Radio Sport on the Nerazzurri’s terrible performance yesterday as Atalanta outplayed them and ran out 4-1 winners.
“You could see right away that Inter was a tired team. If they want to become and remain a good team they have to have the tension at a high level. This upcoming international break is not good for the players since they will have time to think of the game and the game will remain in their heads. Getting back in the action immediately is a thing that gives incentives, now instead there is a break.”
Cauet, who played for Inter between 1997 and 2001, then spoke on Lautaro Martinez.
“He is a very strong player that has a lot of quality and slowly but surely he will learn the patterns of Italian football and he has to get some more minutes in his legs in order to grow.”
