Inter Striker Lautaro Martinez: “To Be In The National Team Is A Dream Come True”

Lautaro Martinez shared his delight at being included in the Argentine national team for the upcoming games during the international break.

“I train in the best possible way, currently the coach is not using me that much but I am ready to give my best at every practice in order to be ready to give my best when I get the chance,” he told the gathered media at Argentina’s training camp.

“Without a doubt I dreamt about going to the World Cup, this is every player’s dream. I am here now because it is a dream of mine to play for our national team. Right now there is a process for changing players, but we are doing fine. We just have to go forward with practices, accepting the choices made and give our best. Also against Mexico we have to go forward, knowing that it is a strong team we are facing.”

Lautaro was then asked on playing time and if he hopes to get more minutes on the field.

“This is not for me to comment on. We are here every time we are being called up, giving our best. This is a decision for the management. I hope so, I will prepare myself in the best possible way.”

Last time he reported for international duty injured but stuck around regardless and explained why he done this.

“I said in an interview that I remained with the team because there were a lot of new teammates to get to know. It is a dream to be here so I think we should take advantage of every time we are being called up.”
