Respected Italian journalist Claudio Laudisa has brought an update on Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta’s seemingly inevitable entrance to the Inter board.

“Everything is stitched, but nothing is sewn. This Inter are travelling at a frantic speed and does not need a shake-up and Marotta, first of all, prefers that everything happens at the right time. The Inter ownership gives him a lot of credit for the careful transfer policy with which he has managed to make investments in the market sustainable over time for Juventus from Pirlo to Pogba, through Tevez, Vidal and Higuain up to Cristiano Ronaldo,” Laudisa writes in Gazzetta dello Sport weekly magazine Fuorigioco.

Laudisa also assures that there will be no overlap between the role that Marotta will serve at the club and the role of sporting director Piero Ausilio. It could be the case that they form a relationship similar to the one Marotta had at Juventus with sporting director Fabio Paratici.
