Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta could be an Inter executive by the end of the month, at least according to a report from Sport Mediaset.

Inter’s defeat to Atalanta on Sunday has led to talks between the concerned parties accelerating and there is great optimism from all that are involved that a deal can be struck very soon. While Inter president Steven Zhang is in China, it is possible that the former Juventus chief executive could hold further talks with other executives before Zhang returns to Milan. Marotta could well even meet Inter owner Jindong Zhang in this time the report goes on to detail.

By the start of the December Marotta could assume his position as CEO at the Nerazzurri alongside current CEO Alessandro Antonello. If this all transpires, his first match as an Inter executive will come up against none other than his former employers Juventus at the Allianz Stadium.
