Gabriele Gravina, the President of FIGC spoke at the Il Sole 24 Ore Sport & Business Forum about the news of the developments to the stadium in Milan.

Between Inter and Milan last Friday they signed a memorandum of understanding to confirm the will to work together with the project for the construction of a modern and avant-garde stadium.

“It is important, I believe that every form of collaboration is the best way to grow in this sector. Today we are engaged in this fundamental revolution, I believe that the infrastructure aspect is crucial for developing Italian football. We cannot value a brand without the proper facilities, so there is maximum commitment also from the Federation that will play a central role in this sense.”

Reports have gathered pace over the last few days that both Inter and Milan have agreed to work together to renovate and modernise the iconic San Siro stadium and to remain as joint owners of a 99 year lease.
