Vincenzo Grifo was among the new faces at Coverciano as the Italian national team continue preparations for their upcoming UEFA Nations League and he spoke with reporters from the sidelines and revealed his love for Inter.

“I am an Interista although in my family we are not all Interisti. One of my brothers supports Milan and other supports Juventus. My biggest brother is already 30-years-old and has other things to worry about besides football,” he said.

The German born midfielder then shared his pride at his call-up.

“It is a dream to be here with the national team. I feel 100 per cent Italian and the first two days here have been beautiful. I am happy and I want to work.”

The 25-year-old also refused to rule out playing in Italy in the future.

“I have only ever come to Italy for Under-20 or Under-21 games. You never know though but I am happy at Hoffenheim and I want to do well with them.”
