Gabriel Barbosa now begins to give signs of impatience. When he was asked about his future, the attacker reiterates that his hopes of staying with Santos are currently very limited.

“It is annoying to always be asked the same thing, I already talked about it after the match against Palmeiras in the last press conference. Things have changed, but the effort from Santos has been great, it was my willingness to return after a year without playing that helped. I was confident in my teammates and my potential to regain a good level of football. Things are different now though, some players have arrived, we will see what happens, but being honest I think the chances of staying here are very low.”

Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa returned to Brazil on loan after a disappointing first season at Inter and a loan spell at Benfica but has scored 16 goals in 31 league games since his return to Santos.
