Lautaro Martinez’s agent Beto Yaque has spoken with FCInterNews.it on the current situation of his client at the club alongside recent media reports.

“It is true that he has played a little but we know that there are many steps for him to take and he is only 21 years old. When he has been on the pitch he has proved to be able to play in an important club and with excellent players like those of Inter. There were a lot of matches where I think he should have come in but he did not get minutes and this is a shame because a player like him with important qualities should be exploited.”

Recent reports have suggested a loan move could be on the cards but Yaque categorically ruled it out.

“There is absolutely no possibility of a loan, this is a possibility that has been manifested by the people of Racing, but it is impossible. Lautaro is in a giant club in Inter and wants to stay even if it is not playing now and hopefully he will have more game time soon.

“We are talking about a great player and his teammates are strong but he has already proven he can be important to the Beneamata cause. Then again, it is difficult to see one like him, with his characteristics, on the bench. I talk a lot with Lautaro, we are talking about a professional, who is waiting for his chance. I think it’s normal that Lautaro wants to play more.”

There have been other reports suggesting that he could be set for a new deal despite his lack of playing time and only joining back in the summer which Yaque then commented on.

“Nobody has called us to address this issue but Inter knows that on our part there is the maximum predisposition to do it. If they were to call us, we will sit down and talk with them.”

Yaque also spoke on the possibility of seeing his client and club captain Mauro Icardi forming a striking partnership.

“Clearly they could and without problems. I have no doubts about this but of course it depends on the coach’s decisions, which must be respected.”
