Despite not assuming his position on the Inter board, Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta is already at work for the club and is trying to sign Italian starlet Sandro Tonali at least according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Marotta is up against his former employers in Juventus for the signature of the Brescia talent who has drawn comparisons to Andrea Pirlo and is currently valued at €20 million, a price that has already risen and promises to do so further given his performances and huge potential. The 18-year-old has recently been called in to the Italian national team and is being tipped for a bright future by many.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that Marotta’s entry at the Nerazzurri is not yet fully defined and his role, whatever it will be, will not overlap with any of those currently on the board, particularly current chief executive Alessandro Antonello.
