Inter are ahead of everyone else in the race for Sampdoria defender Joachim Andersen according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri find themselves ahead thanks to the work of sporting director Piero Ausilio who has met with his opposite numbers at Sampdoria, with the most recent meeting coming on the day Inter played host to Barcelona in the Champions League.
Ausilio met with them in a Milanese hotel that saw a Fifa mediator present too and the meeting allowed the two clubs to get closer although there is still some differences between the two clubs over the 22-year-old Danish international.
The Rome based newspaper report that the difference concerns each club’s respective evaluation of the former FC Twente player. La Samp president Massimo Ferraro is understood to want in excess of €25 million but Inter could bring the price down by inserting some young players. The Genoese club are keen on Xian Emmers and Zinho Vanheusden as well as Facundo Colidio.
