Inter Primavera star Eddy Salcedo has shared his excitement at receiving his first international call-up for the Italian under 19 national team and spoke on his time with Inter so far.

“I have been waiting for the call for a while and it has finally arrived, I am very happy and excited. Everything is beautiful: the atmosphere, the way of working, there is a crazy intensity and a group of young people of great value, with important perspectives. It is an honour to be here,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Inter is a top club and they are giving me the great opportunity to continue my dream. At the beginning it was hard to break away from my family and face a new challenge on my own. You come to Appiano and you think, Here Ronaldo, Vieri, Milito and the greats of the Triplete have been trained. It is an honour to be able to train with Icardi, Perisic and Brozovic.

“My goal for this season is to win the Scudetto with the Primavera but the dream is to make my first team debut, perhaps at San Siro.”
