Inter are still very much interested in Luka Modric and trying to lure him to Milan from Madrid. Gazzetta dello Sport report about what Real Madrid has in store for their future and what that could mean for Modric.

“Florentino Perez is preparing a sudden change at Real Madrid by moving on from one generation to the next and Luka Modric is one of the players whose future is under consideration. In August, the Real Madrid president refused to let Modric move to Italy and instead offered him a new contract as he only had 17 months left on his current contract, but the player did not extend because he had his heart set on a move to Inter. Vlado Lemic, the man who took Modric to Spain, was seen at the San Siro for the game against Barcelona.

“Piero Ausilio has not given up on the World Cup finalist, if anything changes at the Bernabeu, Inter would be quick to intervene. We have to wait to see if something happens in January or if we will have to wait until the Summer to see Modric in Italy.”
