Bologna striker Federico Santander has revealed just how different his career could have been in an interview with Sport Week, a weekly supplement in Gazzetta dello Sport.

“At the Viareggio tournament my manager at Guarani asked me where I wanted to play and I said I wanted to play in attack. It went so well that I won myself a trial with Inter. I do not know why they did not take me but it remains an unforgettable experience,” he stated.

“I have played for many times but I live in the present and in this case it is at Bologna. I chose to come here because it is a club that has a great history. I do not think about what will happen tomorrow, I could still be here or elsewhere.”

The 27-year-old Paraguayan has been with the Rossoblu since the summer and scored four goals and tallied two assists in 13 games across all competitions.
