Monchi: “Marotta To Inter? It’s A Good Thing For Italian Football”

Roma sporting director Ramón Rodríguez Verdejo better known simply as just Monchi spoke on the imminent arrival of fellow director Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta at Inter.

“Marotta has won a lot and has done so much for the Juventus, if he stays in Italy it is a good thing for the Italian game, it is good that good professionals like him stay in the country,” he said in an interview with reporters prior to a meeting with the Italian referee association the AIA.

Marotta’s entry in to the Inter environment is expected to officially confirmed in the coming weeks. The former Juventus director has already spoken with Inter’s owners Suning and he is expected to assume the role of chief executive at the club while current chief executive Alessandro Antonello will remain in his role but will deal with the administrative side of things while allowing Marotta to deal with the sporting matters.
