Inter Forward Colidio: “Icardi & Lautaro Are Teaching Me A Lot”

Inter forward Facundo Colidio has thanked fellow Argentines Mauro Icardi and Lautaro Martinez for ‘taking me under their wing’ in training since his arrival in Italy.

Colidio, 18, joined the Nerazzurri last summer in a €7 million deal from Boca Juniors and has made 41 appearances for their Primavera side so far, scoring key goals in last season’s Supercoppa and Scudetto finals.

However he is also training regularly under Luciano Spalletti in the first team and told Inter’s Rising Stars program on Tuesday that he is delighted to be working alongside his compatriots.

“It’s marvellous being able to train with the first team,” he said.

“There are new things for me to learn every day when I’m alongside those more experienced players.

“I’m lucky enough to have two forwards like Icardi and Lautaro who have taken me under my wing and are teaching me a lot.”

Icardi and Lautaro will be back in action for the first team on Saturday evening when Inter face Frosinone in Serie A.
