Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta will become only the second director ever in history to swap between Juventus and Inter, some fifty years after the first person completed the swap, Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport have highlighted.

Marotta recently left his role as chief executive of Juventus and is expected to imminently arrive in the same capacity at the Nerazzurri. He is currently in China at Suning headquarters to finalise the details of the deal and as per various reports, his arrival at the club should be officially confirmed by the end of the month. His first match as an Inter director may even come against his former employers at the start of December.

Marotta will follow Italo Allodi in swapping between the two teams who contest the Derby D’Italia. Allodi was an Inter director between 1959 and 1968 and was a huge part in the Grande Inter success but then he joined the Bianconeri in 1970 and stayed their for three years.
