Corriere della Sera have given a brief summary of the recent meetings in Nanjing, China between Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and Inter’s owners Suning as the former Juventus director edges ever closer to joining Inter.

“The meeting with the owner of Suning Jindong Zhang and his son, the Nerazzurri president Steven, has been beneficial. Marotta explained the strategies he has in mind to bring Inter back amongst the top clubs while the Zhang’s assured him of Suning’s support,” their summary reads.

The Milan based newspaper have also revealed who Marotta will be targeting first in the transfer market upon assuming his role at the Nerazzurri, something that is expected to happen in the coming weeks.

The first player that Marotta wants to bring to Inter is Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The 23-year-old central midfielder is also believed to be a target of the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United and he certainly will not come cheap to anyone wanting to purchase him.
