Rafinha’s father and agent has refused to rule out his son leaving current employers Barcelona in the upcoming January transfer window.

“The coach has his own ideas, but it is inexplicable that he does not play because, when he had the chance to do it with continuity, he played three spectacular consecutive games and had great success even in pre-season, but that is just football for you,” he said in an interview with Galicia Sport.

“He is at an excellent club but it is clear that the goal for him is to play continuously and this, at the moment, does not seem possible here. We are not ruling anything out, not even going away from Catalonia in January. An ideal situation will be needed for all the parties involved.”

Rafinha enjoyed a fruitful six-month loan spell at Inter last season and should he be made available it would remain to be seen if Inter would make a move for the Brazilian midfielder.
