Radja Nainggolan, as reported by Sky Sports, has worked regularly with his teammates today at Appiano Gentile, in the first full squad workout after the international break.

The Belgian, therefore, can be considered to have recovered after the injury which kept him out against Atalanta: it will now be up to Luciano Spalletti to decide whether to field him on Saturday against relegation battlers Frosinone or to preserve him with an eye on the Champions League match against Tottenham at Wembley on Wednesday.

Nainggolan has been a key member of Spalletti’s starting 11 this year but was kept out after an injury he sustained in the Milan derby after a tackle from Lucas Biglia. He started against Barcelona in the previous Champions League game but it was clear he was not at full fitness.

With no International football over the break due to his retirement from the national team, it is hoped Nainggolan has been able to regain his full fitness.
