Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti has backed Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta’s seemingly imminent appointment at Inter.

“He has done very well at Juventus and will also be good for Inter because he is a serious and capable person as well as a director who has great experience,” he explained in an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

Ancelotti also shared his grievances with the usage of VAR.

“There have been too many errors recently. If there’s an error in the league, you have time to make up for it, but in the Champions League you’re just out.

“The system hasn’t started badly in Serie A, there were a few negative incidents, but at the end of the day it is still the referee who makes the decision. All VAR does is show th4e referee what he hasn’t been able to see live. The decision will always be subjective. I say that VAR ought to be used more.”
