Jan Vertonghen is back in training with his Tottenham Hotspur teammates and as a result is in contention to feature in their crucial Champions League clash with Inter next week.

His return has come as welcome news to Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino who is well aware that a difficult fixture period awaits for his side.

“It is very good news, he has been training with the group. Jan is such an important player for us. We have a very busy period ahead so it’s important to recover our players.”
