Inter coach Luciano Spalletti stopped by Italian broadcaster DAZN to share his thoughts on the 3-0 win against Frosinone in the Serie A at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

The former Roma coach began by stating that: “The reaction was to bring what had happened before and turn it into a good performance today. The team played good football and they had patience because Frosinone ask you to go ahead and keep the ball but if you do they can put you in difficulty on the counter, it was better to keep them piled up in the middle. The ball is moved with the same speed and precision as when you try to hurt them, but if you lose it too many times the opponents force you to run 100 meters and you fail to position yourself in their half, which is so important to do with teams like this.”

The Inter coach continued by outlining what he wants from his team stating that: “I want us to want to grow again, become an important team that is back among the great teams in the league and the Champions League, without those black-outs that we suffer from. Then of course you can lose matches, but you can not go from a performance that rates a 9 to 4 to 2, you can miss out on details that prevent you from managing a match well. We are a team that sometimes makes bad choices as sometimes we risk losing the ball. We have to continue to mature.”

“It’s true, we’ve grown and we always say it, it’s an important moment because we manage to keep ourselves at an important level even though there are pits like the one in the first 45 minutes in Bergamo, but then we were evenly matched in the game in the second half” Spalletti continued.

In conclusion the former Roma coach looked forward to the future and the upcoming important three away fixtures against Tottenham, Roma and Juventus stating that: “Our fans are interested in staying close to Inter’s players, regardless of whether the opponent is good or not, they want to win with their players. We have to do the same if we want to do important things whilst wearing these colors. The fans teach us how to behave as they are always there and always present.”
