In today’s paper edition of the newspaper, Rome-based Corriere dello Sport report that Giuseppe Marotta could officially join the Inter team after the game against Tottenham in the Champions League.

According to the report: “For the moment, the idea is to announce Marotta’s arrival after the Champions League match against Tottenham, but we will know more later today as Steven Zhang returns to Milano from China. After the game between Inter and Frosinone, Steven will decide when the announcement will be made. What we do know though is that Inter will be signing one of the most successful executives in the entire history of Italian football.”

The Corriere dello Sport goes on to explain the importance of the role that Marotta will have at Inter. “The idea is for Marotta to work with Ausilio and Baccin in order to build a team with their combined expertise. In addition, Marotta will provide a link between the technical side of things and the managerial side, as he has done brilliantly over the years at Juventus. Suning is in a hurry to present this big signing due to the added value that Beppe will bring to Inter.”
