Tonight’s Serie A clash at the San Siro is another chance for Lautaro Martinez to shine as he is most probably going to start as the sole striker against Frosinone.

According to Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Spalletti will give the former Racing forward a chance to prove himself as he will take Icardi’s place up front: “They are already surprised by Lautaro’s lack of minutes in Argentina and there are those who are asking to have him brought back home immediately. Racing, who sold him to Inter last Summer for €25 million, called to ask for a loan but received a negative response from Inter as they firmly believe in the striker.”

The Gazzetta continues by reporting how the player himself feels about all this stating that: “It is very clear that Lautaro feels like he could do more and that he can be very important for Inter. His friendship with Mauro Icardi definitely helps him as a person and a player. Tonight against Frosinone, Lautaro needs to take his chances so that he could start to dream again like he did two months ago.”
