Tottenham Hotspur’s manager Mauricio Pochettino has received some good news ahead of their Champions League clash with Inter with Jan Vertonghen back in training with the team having recovered from his injury.

The Belgian international had been sidelined since September after injuring his bicep femoris muscle in a match against Huddersfield Town in the Premier League. Barring an unforeseen relapse, the Belgian centre back will be available to take to the field against Inter for Spurs’ must-win match against the Nerazzurri at Wembley next week where anything but a victory will see them crash out the Champions League.

It is not all positive news from the medical room, however. Spurs are still expecting to miss another centre back in Davinson Sanchez, who will likely to be out until the end of the year. The club is hopeful that English wing back Kieran Trippier will be available as he continues to follow a personalised training schedule.
