Inter’s Lautaro Martinez: “My Duty Is To Score Goals, The Standing Ovation Was Incredible”

Inter’s Argentinian international attacker Lautaro Martinez stopped by Inter TV to share his thoughts on the three points won at home against Frosinone where the former Racing Avellanada player scored his second Serie A goal which was also the Nerazzurri’s second goal on the night.

Lautaro was asked how important scoring the goal was to which he replied: “It is always important for an attacker to score goals. This is my duty and I am happy to have returned to playing again. It was very important to return to winning at home, in front of our fans. These are three points that mean a lot also given the upcoming matches.”

In conclusion the player nicknamed El Toro was asked how he felt about being given a standing ovation when he came off for Mauro Icardi in the second half to which he replied: “It was really unbelievable, I have not been here very long but I definitely feel the heat from the fans. All this affection helps me to work and get fired up.”
