Inter are weighing up various options for the centre of defence and Eliaqum Mangala is the newest name being considered by the Nerazzurri management according to a report from Tuttosport.

Mangala is a player that Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio considered while he played for Porto but Inter lost out to Manchester City in 2014. He has had a difficult few years at the Etihad Stadium and is yet to play this season but is being considered once more by Ausilio due to his expiring contract status.

Ozan Kabak is another player that Inter are interested on. The Galatasaray teenager could be signed in the upcoming January transfer window in collaboration with another Serie A club given that Inter do not have a free non-EU spot to use on him.

Mangala and Kabak aside, Sampdoria’s Joachim Andersen, Atalanta’s Gianluca Mancini and Tottenham Hotspur’s Jan Vertonghen are all other names that have been mentioned as possible additions for Inter.
