Despite not shining like he previously has in previous campaigns, Inter manager Luciano Spalletti will not give up on winger Ivan Perisic according to a report from Tuttosport.
Spalletti will give Perisic another chance against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night in the Champions League, this despite the Croatian contributing neither a goal nor assist in the four games already played in the competition this season.
Domestically speaking, the 29-year-old has struggled too. In 12 outings, he has just two goals and as many assists to his name whereas last season at the same stage he had four goals and five assists instead.
Perisic, who is under contract with the club until 2022, has dropped off in an attacking sense but his tactical and physical contribution is something Spalletti is willing to rely upon at Wembley. Spalletti is hopeful that as the game progresses that Perisic can then make a difference in the game.
